| Let us save you the hassle of continually phoning answering machines, discontinued numbers, bands that are no longer together, and bands that are already booked and unavailable for the date in question, only to make contact eventually with groups that play every kind of music except what you want, and finally being flabbergasted by the price quoted. |
| We'll save you all of that. |
| We'll find you a choice of excellent bands that are available for your event, play your kind of music, meet your requirements regarding line-up and size, and come within your budget. We'll give you full details of their line-up, their instruments and the number of singers, their styles of music and their suitability for the kind of event you have in mind. If they have a CD we'll send you a copy. If they have a web site we'll direct you to it. We will also send you a phone number for the contact person in each act that we recommend so that you can arrange to go and see and hear them perform before coming to a decision. |
| What does it cost? |
| Our service is FREE to Event Organisers and Clients. Funding for our service comes from the Bands and Performers who take gigs from us. Since we give you a choice of bands or performers most of them realise that you are in a position to compare prices hence they are very unlikely to inflate their fee. Most bands gladly allow us a discount to defray our costs and allow you a discount also. We make a deal with them on your behalf. We believe booking through us gives you good value. We get you good performers, even well-known names, at a very reasonable price. |
| So how do we deal with your request? |
| When you contact us by filling in our "Enquiry Form" we'll give you an Event Number and put your request in a queue so that we may attend to each request in the order that it came in to us. |
| NB. Urgent requests will be dealt with immediately however. Especially if they are accompanied by a phone call. We have often been able to supply musicians within two days of an event. |
| Once we receive your request we will immediately put a very generalised version of it on our "Quote for Gigs / Gigs Available Now " list. Most of our registered bands check in to the web site regularly and tell us if they are available for particular events . Be assured that the entry we publish for you on this page gives no more than the date, the County, the nature of the event, and the style of music required together with any special requests. We do not give any specific details that would identify you or your event. Essentially through us you are asking 1,400 bands and performers to consider your event and your requirements and to offer to play for you if they are available. |
| When we have cleared our desk of all the other requests that are ahead of yours we set to work on your behalf. In addition to putting a notice on our "Quote for Gigs / Gigs Available Now " page we search our database for those bands or performers that meet your criteria. We phone them, e-mail them, text them, and all but visit them in person to find out if they are available. Once we have a fair number of bands to recommend to you we add them to those that want to be considered for your event from the "Quote for Gigs" page and whom we judge to be suitable. We will try to ensure that your own particular requirements are met in our recommendations. . |
| We then prepare a letter containing full details of all these bands or performers and send it to you through the post together with a Booking Form. The information will include the name of a contact person for the act and a telephone number so that you can contact them in order to arrange to hear them. |
| The information we send you is issued on the strict understanding that the act or acts we recommend, if suitable, will be booked through us. |
| Finally we look forward to receiving your Booking Form and deposit. We put everything in writing so that there are no discrepancies or mistakes. For your convenience you can now book and pay online using PayPal. |
| Corporate Events & Festivals |
| In the case of corporate bookings we can provide a Tax Clearance Certificate, a Proforma Invoice, an Invoice, and a VAT receipt if required as well as written confirmation of the booking. |
| Weddings and family events |
| In the case of weddings and private parties the clients may arrange to pay the band themselves on the night or before the event having first paid the booking deposit through Good Gigs. We can now accept Credit Card payments by PayPal. |
| Cancellation of your request |
If at any time you decide not to avail of our services please let us know immediately so that we can cease working on your behalf. Even if you are not hearing from us we are still building up a list of recommended bands for you and will respond to your request as soon as possible.
